What is “Philosonomics”

In the midst of a digital age, the importance of data driven decision making has become more apparent than ever. Performance forecasting, market research, and trend identification have all become key players in a plethora of industries- and there are still countless untapped opportunities for businesses to improve the ways they interact with consumers through the power of analytics.
Even so, the most powerful feature of data is what it tells us about ourselves. Behind every market insight is a compelling story about the ways we are living our lives in a rapidly changing world. This blending of insight and raw information is what I have been calling “Philosonomics.” Uncovering the stories from these dispassionate numbers is (ironically) why I have such a passion for data.
I wanted to share this passion in an effort to inspire others to look within the margins and, hopefully, bring us all a little closer together through the stories we create with our digital footprints. By the time I have seen this project through, I hope to have shed just a little more light on the human condition in the information age.
